Half Wave Rectifier with Smoothing Cap

220 V AC Source at 60 Hz going through a 240:9 transformer and of course through your rectifier stage but now with a smoothing cap (filter stage). This capacitor charges with the rectified AC voltage and then slowly discharges on our little lamp repeating this process until switched off. This allows for a smoother pulsating DC waveform.(My first circuit xD)

Fyi, 220 is the rms rating, the program requires the peak value. This can be found with 220*1.414=311 volts peak.
