1.the logic gates are useless 2.the amplitude is only 30mV 3.that is not a saw tooth wave

Niki, define the criteria when its a sawtooth!

BTW, pin 2,6 at 555 gives a much higher amplitude "sawtooth" for much less effort.

The sawtooth waves has 100% rise time so it forms like the teeths of a saw

100% for rise needs 0% for fall! Is this possible in real? I dont think so. Cuz 0 time fall need an infinity high bandwidth! So what is an acceptable upper corner frequency for a good sawtooth signal?

0.1%?

But here is more than 30%!!!

We're talking about an ideal or a realistic sawtooth?

Hello hurz👌

Anyway there are simple and more precise ways to get a sawtooth wave, with less components and without random logic gates

Random logic gate....bah.....

As i already said just keep the 555 and delete the rest. At pin 2,6 is a much nicer "sawtooth". Anyway, niki 0.1% to 99.9% is a ratio and needs a dynamic of 60dB. Or 1 to 1000. This oscillator does run on ~5Hz. How about if you build one at 1MHz? Do you think it can have a fall time of 0.1% ?? 1ns?

Is this a bad sawtooth? I don't think so http://everycircuit.com/circuit/5841596826255360
