You are killing amperage through the PNP transistor.

I made an efficient voltage regulator circuit for you. :-)

Excuse me what function have the capacitor in the circuit

@chavezjvx-It smoothes out the current, because it regulates properly and when you convert from ac to dc from the ripples that a passes to 0v, so it's no longer 0v. Honestly, I never put a capacitor in for my regulator circuits. It's not important with a simple regulator circuit, just a conversion circuit.

LM7805 can regulate every sort of input upper of 7V into 5V, but this circut works only with a perfect 9V input

Excuse me , i want to ask questions about this circuit. Yes, as you describe the circuit to lower the big voltage source so we can use the result into a smartphone, I have seen another circuit by using a motorcycle accu (12 - 24 V) and an IC 7805 on it But still : 1. What is an IC 7805 itself ? Why i can't find the syombol of it in everycircuit? 2. What is the PNP bipolar transistor function on the circuit ? Is that another name of that IC 7805 ? THANKS

yES what is the LM7805 ?? A transistor? what symbol do you use if it isn't ? Thanks

It would be good to have some parts descriptions on some of the circuits and where to select them from in the app...
