Schmitt Trigger Positive Feedback

Shows how a Schmitt trigger can be used to prevent false triggering of a comparator, caused by a poor input signal. The input signal is 50Hz, but has 1kHz of ripple on it. The ripple causes the comparator to falsely trigger several times on the rise and fall. Closing the switch causes the op amp to work as a Schmitt trigger, introducing some hysteresis, thus giving a clean output.
