I dunno, whatchyu think about the mixing of the signals like this?

I do it directly through a resistor bridge. Yes there are some adverse effects like spilling of high frequency signals but normally you won't have a problem.

I agree with the bugger. What you have setup is multiple difference amplifiers. Add each source with a resistor to the positive input. Ground the negative. I believe you can add a feed back loop to. increase gain.

@PhilHoop, feedback to the positive input is not a good idea. It will cause an unstable non-linear behavior.

Well what my goal here is to take a Left and Right audio source and be able to make front, center, and rear surround sound, which is all done by mixing and delay and decay and whatnot, right? I know this isn't a perfect circuit but I just wondered how it'd sound hooked up like so, and I agree, positive feedback is normally not wanted, but do have their own advantages

Just make a resistor bridge to mix them add an RC low pass filter with a cut off frequency of 20Khz and you're good to go ;)

I'm hoping with this computer I'm looking at it'll have three different audio outputs so I'll hopefully be able to make them work the way I want and then I can use those outputs to power car audio amplifiers powered off my +12VDC (I might need to buy an extra for all this power I use) so then I can have an easy setup
