Disclaimer: I did not design this circuit myself. I found it in a book about small analog circuits. 

This circuit is a real masterpiece of designing complexity and art. The lamp simulates a fuse while the AC source simulating your outlet. Voltage and frequency of that outlet might differ from the given ones, so please set the prober ones for the simulation to be as accurate as possible.

If you do not want to use a switch to build this project, you may want to consider just connecting the two wires together. That should work fine too. 

When this circuit gets activated, it will blow any fuse or breaker connected to it. Really usefull for obvious reasons.
