I have a question for the more skilled chemists. I'm looking to make a Ferric Sulfide for etching boards, and I've gotten to the conclusion that I'd need sulfuric acid to make it. By dissolving ferric nails in diluted sulfuric acid and adding hydrogen peroxide I'll get Ferric Sulfide. All the ingredients can be bought from thw drugstore, except the sulfuric acid. Now the question is, from where can i get that? Will draining the fluid from a car battery do it, or is the concentration low? Are there any other etching solutions, that'll do the trick?
