Transformer with rectifier

120V AC 60 Hz to 4V 20 mA DC Please feel free to offer any helpful suggestions. I just tried to work this out through trial and error, so I know that there must be some improvements ya'll can offer.

Keep experimenting, the basic circuit for what you are trying to achieve is, probably just using 1 capacitor. http://everycircuit.com/circuit/5891836400107520

Thanks, I tried and tried to get it with just one cap but I wasn't able to get it to smooth out. I'll keep at it,

The resistor just is wasting power, and the earth is probably better on the negative rail.

Thank you sir, i got rid of the resistor but im dont know where the negative rail is located
