Bicycle Light Stays Bright

Battery keeps bicycle front and back lamps lighted when stopped or low speeds. AC generator operating from bicycle tire turns 6 volt auto relay or voltage regulator turns off battery power and uses generator power to run bicycle lights when generator is above 6 volts. Adjust AC generator voltage down to turn on 6 volt DC power. On some relays, the points may need to be reversed and insulate the fixed point from relay case. Also, make sure armature and battery lead connection stays insulated from auto relay tension spring. LED lamps would not work on AC generator power so use regular 6 volt light bulbs.
