Transistor Oscillator, I find this to be a really neat circuit!

You must remove the resistor 1k and incrase the value of the first and last. (800ohm)

I got your circuit to run nicely by removing both 1K resistors, changing the 100R's to 1K's, and dropping the 20K's down to 6.8K's. Operates at the same frequency as you've got here, but much smoother..
