Амплитудные демодуляторы (детекторы) бывают двух типов: на нелинейном элементе и синхронные.
В правом верхнем углу представлен детектор на нелинейном элементе (диоде) с отключаемым удвоителем напряжения. В правой нижней части - синхронный детектор, выполненный по схеме перемножителя (балансного модулятора) АМ-сигнала с восстановленной несущей частотой. Однако для корректного детектирования DSB эти схемы не годятся.
