I think it would be nice in a next release  allow each registered user to can manage freely a own blacklist of the users to be filtered out  when I  touch  "community tab". In this way we obtains two goals: the first is that everyone could automatically exclude from its own  view who is here only to disturb the others, with arguments not  strictely of electronic, or who publish many and many exercises taht could be done privately. The second is that knowing this, everyone will think more time before publish something, because he will know that the other will never see his words.

I add too I think it's a democratic way to banner someone, because everyone can decide to see all user or not and who .

I asked for tubes to Igor 1 minute after discover this app. He answered yes, it was in his plan, this many months ago.

What do you think about possibility to can have blacklist? On my opinion, it exist the need to limit some people.

For me it is a nice idea, but I'm still waiting for vacuum tubes, SCRs, DIACs, TRIACs and different kinds of MOSFETs (jfet, neh, dep, igbt, etc...)

There are a number of troublemakers and trolls who sometimes frequent this electronics forum but Igor has always sorted out the problem by removing them from the forum. Igor is doing a great job, there's no need to create an elitist forum who's members have the means to ostracize anyone who opposes their views.

This app is perfect :) it just needs a small crash fix, but other than that, except a few components, i don't see anything else that needs to be added

@lenzrulz: just to avoid an elitlist forum that ostracise anyone, I proposed a "personal" blacklist, like in smartphone exist, so anyone ostracise who want only from its own view. For example If I think you are a troll i could filter you but Karsten thinking different by me will do not filter you.

In the end, i think is a good idea what proposed TimoM about a notification. And I agree that Igor did a miracle, but even miracle can be improved :) ..

And for bootlicker a greenlist would be helpful, to mark quickly its three follower they have. Igor fortunately don't follow troll wishes. He has enough stress by answering spam mails from bootlicking trolls.

Oh I would love a block list/favorite's lists that would allow me to block the circuits that make me go "How haven't you blown up yet" and only see the ones where I'm like "Wow, this is amazing".

And a way of organisation and better sorting out of private work into folders. An XML download might be good to have. This would allow independent saving of circuits

He wants but he is a one man show. We should lower the pressure to him and be happy with EC as is. And use the yellow + buttom from component bar from schematic entry. And wait for news. And ignore trolls as much as possible. It seems to have also its effect!

Thank you very much Giomix, my 'schoolboy studies' will no longer be posted up on this waste of time space. I have seen that it is a totally infuriating waste of my time and that it only serves to fuel the gay-boy buggering bugger who is intensely annoying. Like Facebook, this part of the app is a social experiment and one that does not serve very well for anything other than low-grade minds. I also like Bulgaria. However I do not like the one from Bulgaria that pontificates wrong thinking and lectures others and myself on subjects that he does not understand. If I had to suggest improvement to Igor, I would definitely put functionality at the top of the list, not social interactive stuff. Although I am in agreement that filtering you out of my life would be very good for my health! 1) Fixing the recent problems with the gates (interpretation of hysteresis is not useful in my opinion) 2)) add resonators and crystals 3) varicap diode 4) Tubes and Jfet?

I'd personally black list the people whose circuits never work, or are a troll. The only people whose circuits work are mine, hurz, WTF, Secuture, and a few others (don't be offended if i left someone out). I'd only keep these people in my ,,white list'' because i both have something to learn from them and probably something to show them, despite that sometimes hurz can be a pain in the ass, he's a full on engineer and i respect him for that. Other than that I'd like to see a crash fix, tubes and crystal oscillators. Other than that this app is miraculous

Even so, I'm surely on my way of becoming a full on engineer, like you, whether you admit it or not. That's more than I can say for some people. Believe me I've studied hard for it ;)

I may not always be right in everything i have done here on EC, but i am very grateful for the kind comments and help I've received. I have worked as an engineer from the early 80's onward. Mostly with embedded systems and more recently (last 10 years) with audio. My work has included robotics, satellite communication, early design of man machine interface systems and many more areas that include hardware and software experience. Just to elaborate, when i started out on this path, there were NO university degrees for what i was doing. Indeed, there were few text books!

I am glad to have seen that my so called 'high school' studies' earned me respect and money in the industry. Actually, when i was at Richmond upon Thames college, in 1980, i started the UK's first microprocessor society. This became very important in London at the time and fuelled the creation of many development industries. I ran this and other activities with and strong belief that our generation would put the new technology to greatest use and build a better world. Naturally, i was young and had not realised yet that my ideals would be difficult to achieve. I then suffered a motorcycle accident which took years for me to recover from. Later, at 33, I read philosophy at Oxford.

Dear zorgrian, excuse me if a low-grade mind like mine it's not at your high-level, but I noticed you wrote just a lot in this part of EC that is a social experiment for low-grade mind, as you said ... You are not the only that studied and received respect and money for his hard work. I'm busy on my business and for this reason I have not much time to play with EC, it's not a priority in my life. I also noticed here and in some other electronic communities, a certain level of presumptuousness, it seems a strange constant combination. Anyway believe me, not worth getting angry for these things and stay here. In the end, I'm not a young boy, unfortunately :)

@geomix, i do not say that you have a low-end subnormal retrograde mind. Indeed, your circuits are useful and demonstrate intelligence. I do feel that more social media or forum style addition to this app may not be the best priority for Igor. My experience of Facebook is that it is nothing but a data tracking and mining mechanism for Mi6/7/8/9, the CIA and other places like GCHQ. It also serves to remind one just why it was that certain individuals may have fallen out of your life many many years ago.

Please do not take my comments as any attack. I retract any bad sentiment i have conveyed here. I suppose i just got angry, which as yoy point out is indeed not worth while. I also respect any other engineer who runs his own business. I know how much of a challenge this can be at times!

Ok, no problem zorgrian, I understand. Sometimes we forget that behind the words of an electronic message there is a man, a real life. For example thebugger said that he respect hurz because is a full in engineer, should be more right respect thebugger, hurz, you and the others because firstly men, I think this probably due my humanist and classical culture and studies when i was under 20 years old, before start with engineer studies. I agree with you about facebook etc , in fact I'm not in any social and never I will be.

Lenzrulz, I agree with you in most you said. I created this post thinking essentially to the people that publish nothing of electronic (religious fanatics, trolls etc). And to filter them i thought nothing more democratic than each of us can decide who filter from his view, using nickname id. In this manner Igor not has any responsability to decide who eradicate for all of us, there will not be the possibility of the risk of creating an elite of people etc. Nothing more than this, like your smartphone number blacklist in which you store the numbers of people that disturb you. Is not telephone company that have to decide to filter, but end-user, only from his view.
