3 stage amplifier designed to run from 2 AA (NiMH) batteries. As the voltage gain of the first two stages is very supply voltage dependent due to low open loop gain, this section is provided with a 1.8V regulated supply using a 1K resistor and Green LED. The last stage is powered directly from the battery and will still experience some loss of gain as the battery voltage falls. Overall gain is around x1100
