Why the output comes as D.C ???

I no expert builder. But play with your source peramiters. Adjust ac /dc voltage and frequencey. After that Im still learning. Good luck

Adjust AC to 5V. Set Logical True to 5V and the LED as well to 5V. Get a nice square wave from the AC signal. Also you can remove the 1k resistor or adjust to 150-470 ohms works good. IDK what your goal is with this circuit but doing the following I suggested has a nice outcome which is what i think you were going for. In any case i hope this helps. :-)

Actually just remove the resistor if you have the LED @ 5V.
