This is the configuration that I used with the HT12E encoder, the data (push button) is going to the 555 and is modulated at the frequency of 38Khz so the TSOP138 can properly receive the data and send it to the HT12D for the purpose that you want, like drive a motor or something. The circuit worked fine in practice for me. Any suggestion is much appreciated.
