Servem para transformar um diodo em um elemento de circuito conhecido, para assim podermos analisá-lo mais facilmente.

-Modelo 1 (curto circuito): para Vcc > 10*Vd

-Modelo 2 (fonte de tensão de 0,7 V) : para  Vcc < 10*Vd e RL >> Rd

-Modelo 3 (fonte de tensão de 0,7 V e RL na mesma ordem de grandeza de Rd
