The transformer part is just for modulating the carrier with the signal, so it’s like the radio station. The First resistor is like the antenna, then there’s a resonant LC circuit tuned to 1kHz, then a zener and then just som amplification and biasing. The zener seems to make the wave kind of quantised, which is kinda cool. The carrier frequency sets the sample rate i suppose, idunno haha
