Thats an EC flaw. In reality this wont happen.

Yea. I was just goofing off. Did you inject noise? I've ran across a few things on here that doesn't work in " real life".

Yeah i did. EC has some flaws yes. Especially if you're using transformers or lamps or opamps. They all lack certain features that are a must. Like the transformers here have no saturation point. The bulbs lack the positive thermal coefficient and the opamps are granted an unlimited power supply so you cant use them for regulators per se because they wont grant you the correct results.

Ah and the mosfets. They have very bizzare parameters that you wont find in any datasheet. Other than that it works peachy once you get used to it.

I actually bought this app by accident. I love it though. I do wish there was a few more components. Do you know of any other circuit simulators? I like falstad, but it won't work on android. I don't guess. I'm trying to build a guitar amp from salvaged parts. Can't really find any info except for vac tube amps. That would be great but it's not easy to find vacuum tubes or their sockets in north alabama.

How powerful of an amp are you shooting for? The TDA2030A is an excellent power amplifier to use as the heart of a little 10W practice amp. I know Marshall uses them in the MG10s, Peavy and Vox also use them. Of course, you'll need a few other items for power supply, preamp, overdrive, and tone control. But the TDA2030A is a good one to start with.

And before someone comes on here and says "but the 2030A is an 18W amp..." That's under ideal conditions, Vss maxed, 4 ohm load, etc, etc. In reality, expect about 10W from it with an 8 ohm speaker. Which is just fine for a small practice amp.

Awesome. Thank you. I'm going for something between 300 & 600 watts. I have several big amps, I just like building stuff. I am a descendant of Ben Franklin : )

300W - 600W? For a first time build? From salvaged parts? Get lost.

Why?

I don't want to build a practice amp.

600W watts is insane for a guitar amp. It's pretty huge for a bass amp, too. A lot of things can go wrong in a bad, bad way with much power. It won't be cheap to build, either. A 10W amp might not be ideal, but I'd still suggest something small for a first time build.

I have some large amps and a lot of older big amp parts. Lots.
