Exploratory circuit with a 10-stage Cockroft-Walton voltage multiplier (each stage comprises 2 caps & 2 diodes), split in half so it fits in the workspace.

Arc lighter pulses 5 kV DC at 18 kHz, based on audio recordings and maximum spark gap.
