Bicycle indicator - first sketch

I'm planning to build indicators for my bicycle using a total of 8 orange 2V 20mA LEDs, arranged in sets of 2; with one facing the side and the other the front or back. The entire thing is supposed to be powered by a 9V block battery, and the AC source will in reality be a 555 timer which I'll power in parallel from the battery. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you have any ideas, suggestions, tips or improvements, feel free to comment them!

Addition: Instead of using 2 switches, I'll use a SPDT switch with center off

Good idea but... in this simulation you even don't need transistor and DC source :) because the AC source replace the two ones

Otherwise just create complete circuit from 555 and DC source ;)

These two circuits also offer an "auto off" function: http://everycircuit.com/circuit/4649886260658176 http://everycircuit.com/circuit/4684221302964224
