Grounded Fence Posts for Lightning Protection

Vertical wires heavy wire stapled to fence posts that go to bottom of post and extend two or three feet above top of fence post.  Vertical and cross wires are stapled together to make contact.

Cattle or hogs pushing against a stock fence in a thunderstorm are sometimes electrocuted when lightning strikes some distance away.  These ground connections minimize this danger.

You do not seem to be very smart if you need a circuit design to build this fence...

When live stock is your property, safeguards against electrocution through the fence matters. Also, when building fence would be time to add grounding connections.
