A analog-to-digital converter (ADC) is a device that converts analog voltages ranging from 0 to 7 volts into digital signals. The voltage values are set by the positions of three switches, which are configured in binary counting. Each switch represents a bit, with the combination of switch positions defining the corresponding voltage value. For example, the switch position 000 (all switches off) corresponds to a voltage of 0 volts, while the position 111 (all switches on) corresponds to 7 volts. The binary counting method allows for precise and straightforward control of analog voltage values through digital inputs.
