An amplifier which produces gain using only unity gain stages and the manipulation of phase between differential and singular outputs and inputs. A single ended input is converted to differential, and then back to single by a unity gain differential amplifier. As the difference between out of 180° phase sinusoids is double the amplitude of a single sinusoid, an immediate gain of 6dB per stage is realized. This is a two stage amplifier consisting of three amps per stage (voltage follower for in phase signal, unity gain inverting amplifier for out of phase signal, unity gain differential amplifier for recombination). As such total gain is 12dB.
