includes double H bridge motor driver.  using the BCD as a clock ensures duty cycle is maintained at 50% for maximum performance.  step frequency is supplied by the oscillator.   dpst switch sets motor direction.  current through the coils can be tuned by adjusting the 10k resistors to set the bridge current to prevent clogging and improve torque.

But principle is clear. Would be nice to have a direction control, so turning the shift register direction.
