I have placed two switches, one when closed loads the large capasitor withe power, thus lighting the lamp, bright, then you can open the load switch (the battery is now out of circuit) the lamp will now drain the cap overtime. you can instantly drain the capacitor by turning on and off the discharge switch. on discharging the resistor is weak to allow power through fast, but without discharge switch on, the power drains slow via the other much stronger resistor. the capacitor is large and the lamp is low volts and low power... if you wonder of RC circuits, this can help you understand them better. ps in real life beware of charged capacitors, as air dissipation can take many hours in a tv, and can result in death.
