This is a simpel latching push button power switch
Made from what i had in my junk bin
1 x p-channel mosfet logi level is best to use if you have to use a low V supply i use a IRF9630
2 x pnp transistors any will do just adjust the resistors if needed to what you have i use BC547
The capasitor can be from 22 uF to 100uF.
Try it out on a breadbord.

I have tested it on breadbord, and it works down to 5 volts can go as low as 3 volts but not 100% stabel at 3 volts
With a load of 12 volts and 800mA the p-FET only make 0.5 watts of heat.
