While input oscillates output stays high.
(Retriggers). When input stays high trigger occurs and output goes low. I use this to convert hc06 slave bluetooth state signal to connect to reset arduino. This allows remote programming. The hc06 state signal is a 10 hz blink when not connected and steady high when connection is made. This circuit turns said signal into DTR which duino expects.

By the way the real circuit just includes the 555, the charging cap , resistor and diode. Connect the diode to the hc06 state and the 555 output thru a .1ufd cap to arduino reset. Note hc06 v1.4 is 5 volt tolerant. Most hc0x are NOT.
