Sample and hold circuit

Just press and unpress the key where u want the waveform,if u want continous waveform u have to press that key again and again ,this not a disadvantage ,this ckt is designed keeping in mind that some circuits requires the output to be of a finite duration.:-))

Why the first amp? I found it will work as well with out it

Onr reason for the exitance of the first amp is to provide load isolation. The source voltage being sampled may not be able to withstand the instantaneous load that the 1uF cap would present. If the source circuitry was high impedance, the sudden load fom the capacitor might disrupt that source circuitry. The high impedance of the first opamp would not present a significant load. The same idea as the input to a high impedance volt meter is less likely to load down a circuit being measured.
