you need a mosfet driver to turn on/off MOSFETs properly, like IR2110, 2113 or IR2111 (for single clock input)

Nmosfet driven at gate with 5V can not give you much more at source even you connect ridiculous 300V at drain! Check what is a high side nmosfet driver to learn how it works.
