Build the circuit. All correct. Know the current 3A. Know the resitense. Voltage unknown. how it output = 6v across 3ohm resistor.

You have 2 amps through a 3 ohm resistor. Ohm's law might help you understand why you have a 6 volt drop across the resistor.

The 6 Ohm & 3 Ohm are in parallel giving 2 Ohm. You therefore have two sevenths of the voltage across the combined 2 Ohm resistor, that is (21x2)/7=6.

You pump 3A into a circuit across a 5Ohm resistor. Just remove/short it, cuz its resistance does not have any effect on the result. Now you have 6||3=2Ohm and Ohms law V=I*R gives 2 Ohm * 3A = 6V. That easy.

That's true and you reduce global warming by 75W if you take the 5 Ohm resistor out lol.
