Linear power regulator

General regulator layout. If anybody know how to replace the op-amp with a transistor, please help me.

One way you could replace the op-amp with transistors is to replace it with a differential pair of transistors. Look that up. The downside to this is that the differential pair wont have nearly as much open-loop gain as a dedicated op amp because a diff pair is only the first stage of a basic op-amp.

Another thing is that the capacitor directly across your square wave generator is practically useless in that configuration. You need a resistor in between it and the source. A capacitor connected like this in real life could be susceptible blowing due to high currents.
