Change 20 Ohm for loudspeaker
published 8 years ago

Not working on a breadboard with real transistors with this resistor configuration, so what?
thebugger
It works, this was the first circuit they made us make in high school. Main difference was that instead of the 20ohm resistor we used a high impedance telephone speaker.
thebugger
Ah and there wasn't a 1k resistor in the circuit. The pulse width didn't matter, we used this circuit as a continuity tester.
hurz
According to EC it does Not work with this configuration on a breadboard!
hurz

And wow, robby will try to get you, lets see.

Just ignore Hurz, he is just a troll.
Robert_Kidd

@hurts, tip - you have to have the EC app running for circuit to work.
nikisalli

@hurz why isn't this going to work on breadboard? Some wrong values? I really can't understand this time :/
nikisalli
Is that for the 1k resistor that should be bypassed and the 220k that should be 100k instead?
hurz

Set for example Hfe to more realistic value 300. A 20 Ohm loudspeaker is a complex load and is not just a resistor. Put additional 100uH to the 20Ohm.
nikisalli

Ok now it makes sense
Robert_Kidd

Which bit of “change 20 Ohm for loudspeaker” did you find confusing @hurts?
nikisalli
@Robert_kidd read the comment again, he said to put a 100uH inductor in series to simulate better a loudspeaker in the simulation. The tip in the description is for when you build the circuiti in real life

My sound card that I use starts working at 150 Hertz up to about 4000 hertz so it might not show up on sound card oscilloscope ranges.

@niki, critic to robbies circuits is not allowed, cuz he knows already everthing, and you will see this thread and circuit will disappear, cu robbi is error free. An open discussion about things he publish is not allowed. You are on the way to the guillotine, he will kill us 😉

I've had this circuit going with a 4ohm speaker too, but I had to use a high hFe output transistor. A more suitable load is 300-600ohm telephone speaker, and if it's an audio oscillator the pulse width doesn't matter so much, and you can remove the 1k resistor.
Robert_Kidd
@thebugger, a high impedance telephone speaker is exactly what this circuit was intended for. Full marks.

@hurts, luckily you are the only resident of your fantasy land.
hurz
But why dont you made circuit and description for your fantasy land. I have used everycircuit and I trust it. You semse to not trust EC and better build up your own fanatsy circuit?
Robert_Kidd

No imagination! I say fantasy, you say fantasy! That the best you can do?
hurz

Is the circuit still of any interesst or what is your problem, I dont get it.
Robert_Kidd

You don’t get it? I’ll make a deal with you. If you show respect for EC users, including @LeButch, then I will discuss circuits with you when appropriate.

Lebutch doesn't deserve respect. He's here just to say that hurz is a troll
Robert_Kidd
No, he is not. He behaves this way after months of disrespect hurled at him needlessly!
nikisalli
Then why hurz respects me but does not respect you and lebutch? It's because hurz behaves like he knows everything and you two cannot accept to have made a mistake in some circuits (also lebutch makes some pretty useless circuits and sometimes copies other's work too)
maxmax_66

@Robert_Kidd. The 'dump' clown gets disrespect hurled at him needlessly? And this http://everycircuit.com/circuit/4859870364041216 is not trolling?

@maxmax_66, I am the first to admit that sometimes @LeButch would be better to say nothing rather that what he does say. But, in my opinion, it is undeniable that most of his 'anger' shown in many of his comments has been provoked by nasty, childish, name-calling comments from a few different people on EC, but most notably @hurz. @hurz demonstates very often how childish, ignorant, uncaring and insulting he can be. There are two sides to every argument but if you do not recognise what I say is true then you are not reading all that's been written - some of which @hurz has deleted afterwards - presumably because even he thought he had gone too far.
Robert_Kidd
@nikisalli, to answer you fully would take too long. I don't want or need @hurz to respect me but it is not acceptable to insult people the way he does just because he takes a dislike to them.
Robert_Kidd
Actually, I'll say a bit more. My first circuit was an indicator that showed when a mains fuse had blown. Straight away he started telling me it was unsafe. A long argument, full of insults, ensued (note: it is not the circuit currently showing which was added later). Even when I explained the circuit was taken from a 1965 electronics text book the abuse continued. In the end I took the circuit down, not because it was wrong, but simply because I could not delete his foul comments.
Robert_Kidd
Then I helped "James" design a circuit he needed. He described himself as 'a nooby'. You will see @hurz quite often (and very recently too) call me an idiot and refer to insulting James by calling him a nooby. Pure fiction that he uses to try to make his point. Here's the last words from James taken from the thread, " I've been trying to build this but I can't get it to work. I've been using the 555 for pwm to no success. This will definitely help me. I stepped back down to 24v. So this is perfect!” You can see the full, true version of events here if you wish http://everycircuit.com/circuit/6747428814848000. Oddly, @hurz keeps referring to this as if I should be ashamed of it. Fool!

@nikisalli, you asked the question - there's the answer.

Did you read what niki said, "It's because hurz behaves like he knows everything". 😂😂😂

Indeed, I did.
nikisalli

In my opinion you and hurz should just stop answering each other's comments or this will go on forever

Look how hurz behaves on other circuits where you and lebutch don't call him a troll, he helps and gives useful tips and examples.
Robert_Kidd

He helps a lot of people but a lot of people he does not help and behaves like a troll.
Robert_Kidd

End of thread, hey?
hurz
I helped even you robbi to see that you are the fool and not James. But you take it now as your only job to destroy HURZ, poor boy. James wasn't the fool, you are a fool with your very first comment on EC. But this is your problem not ours.
hurz
And all your long lasting bla bla as apology what your doing here against me is the documentation from the middle of your fight against me and completely taken out of CONTEXT, if you understand what that mean, context. Start with james and do not talk about war stories. My statement you called him a "noob"!

And here he goes again. Change the record!
Robert_Kidd

It’s clearly your problem because you keep referring to it and lie every time you do.

I don't understand. hurz says he trusts this simulator, this circuit is working on this simulator and still he says that this circuit won't work in real life. Am I confused or is hurz just a nasty troll?
Robert_Kidd

Nasty troll
hurz
@fancynancy, logic is not your strong side. Right, i trust that simulator. This configuration is absolut unrealiatic. Take components from your toolbox and tune the configuration according to them as close as possible. Just start with hFe and you will see it does not work, cuz i trust this simulator and you are lost if you do not know how to use this simulator.
Robert_Kidd
@idiothurz, the circuit works if you build it as is. Obviously if you change components (e.g. by using higher hfe transistors) other tweaking will be required. Duh!
