Lead Pencil Spark-Plug Tester

An off road field repair trick to check for a missing spark firing problem.

With normal lead pencil sharpen both ends and cut a 1/8 inch gap in center of pencil through the lead. Place one end of pencil against spark-plug and ground other end to the engine block.  With engine turning, check for spark firing across air gap in center of lead pencil.
