When the switches are open, the potential of the inputs of the logic gates is undefined. You must connect the inputs to ground through resistors (10 kΩ for example). Another solution is to replace the voltage source and the switches by logical sources because these ones have always a defined potential (0 or 1)

Use logic source instead of SPST switches or if you want to use 5 volt supply then use SPDT switch of which on connected to +5V and other to ground
