It's not a "NOT" Gate, because the input is the same as the output, it's a current booster as a "YES" Gate.

I'm giving you a circuit. It is the same here, but it has an extra NPN transistor, and I'm also showing you the input comparing to the output. When the emitter of the transistor hit the source(NPN= -, PNP= +), it is a Not gate.
