This is something one would probably call class A differential bridge. The question is: Is it something already known or is it a new invention? Please, give reference if known.

Well, feeding a load with two ampifiers that in there turn are fed with two identical signals but out of phase is no new idea exactly. If someone has tried it with class A? Absolutely. But i dont know if the exact configuration that you've here has been realized by someone else.. :)

gravityx, what you describe constitutes the basic H bridge working principle, which is well known. However, this circuit is more than that.

Yeah you're right! Do you know what sets the voltage gain?

Because this circuit is a hybrid of two differential amplifiers and a bridge, the voltage gain depends on the transconductance of the circuit which is set by the two current sources. In a sense, you may also call this circuit a differential bridged transconductance amplifier, i.e., it works as the voltage controlled current source.

Very nice motor speed control with slight modification. I like this very much and see a ultrasound driver in its future. Thanks for the idea.

Distribution of the load makes sinking easy & having the preamp stage gives more flex with power handling. I like it.
