You have 3 copies of this circuit on the forum, wipe 2 of them. The circuit drawn is basically correct. The component values require adjusting. The adjustment would depend on the parameters desired for the circuit. For a circuit like this the parameters available are. 1. Voltage, (12V chosen) 2. Current 3. Frequency (Leds in circuit = visable spectrum ) 4. Brightness of Leds. 5. Transistor gain. These are the Basic considerations. Once a couple of these are chosen, the circuit design can go ahead.

If you just want to get it working, start with, place a trace on one of the Leds, adjust the screen for a 1 second rate, adjust the led resistors to allow approximately 20mA led current (+or- a milli Amp or so). Then adjust the base resistors to a value of led resistors value * the transistor gain. That should get you a working circuit, adjust the capacitor value to obtain the desired Frequency, then fine tune the the circuit for best base current and waveforms.

This circuit is close enough for a beginning. http://everycircuit.com/circuit/5423828105953280

@BillyT all these circuits of this design of multivibrators that do not change the value of resistors or capacitors are wrong, you are practically copying a circuit next door (EXAMPLES> everycircuit), it is as if I had in my hands a Tesla coil go to children's school ignorant of 3 to 6 years who do not know who Tesla is and say, "I create this circuit myself" that is the point.

@FernandoCPF unlike your comment I am constructively taking these people through the steps on how to design these circuits, I find constructive postings are more helpful.

@BillyT is good to help people and comment ... But if you have a page of circuits where you can find circuits and their definition to improve and do something equal or better. I do not know... but that's my opinion

@BillyT in my case I'm a crap designing amplifiers of different types ... something so simple or maybe not ... but I'm working on it and learning. in any case it is good to learn from your mistakes and learn from the other good things .

Fernando, please just shut up for a while and start all over with the basics of electric!

@hurz I'm studying basic electronics! I only go for npn transistors. and if you want me to shut up, that's fine! nor another comment. whenever I get home I start to study and I only gave a comment about why to do circuits that are in examples, but it's okay I do not think of anything.
