The motor (lights) runs in star-circuit.
When you close the switch, the motor will run in delta-circuit.

Nice circuit! If you want to be more correct in the discription, change "triangle-circuit" to "delta circuit". Unfortunately, the program isn't able to demonstrate the rush-in current of a actual motor during a star/delta startup. Then you could realy show why a star/delta circuit is used.
