Base bias resistors of 600 ohms will drive the 8 ohm load. To avoid such high bias current, consider a NPN/PNP and PNP/NPN output stage. Each half acts like a class D amplifier, so there will be some crossover distortion. The op-amp will need to be in the feedback loop.

Using current sources of 20 mA for the base bias will also work.
