In the old days of radio with outside antennas and ground wires - this was plug in to wall outlet to use house wiring as antenna and ground.
The two switches is a regular plug in for house current. The 500 nf capacitor is adjustable to reduce signal strength. The two lamps are low amp fuses. The 50 ohm resistor represents radio set resistance with hook up to antenna in and ground on the radio.
