Amplifier will have maximum gain at resonant frequency. In this case 1khz. 
Use 2way switch to switch between normal and tuned amplifier.

Change the frequency of input to see the gain. Gain will be max at 1khz and drop with increase or decrease in frequency. Thus allowing only required frequency signal to be amplified.
