great for driving flyback transformers. I think a mosfet driven ZVS is a little more robust but this has the advantage of using BJTs which have internal pull-down resistance and dont require external diodes or resistors at its input , unlike mosfets which cant switch off without discharging its gate and that requires a driver that can quickly sink high currents.
