Upper blue results gets a voltage gain which has the emitter source(NPN emitter goes to - and PNP emitter goes to +) Lower orange has no voltage gain which has the collector to source(NPN collector goes to + and PNP collector goes to -).

its called common emitter and common collector. The name source is irritating cause its used together with mosfets and not with bipolar transistors. So common emitter can have voltage gain while common collector is a voltage follower or impedance converter.

Oh nice. ☺ 👍thankyou hurtz 😊 yeah you right. Mosfets have source, gate, and drain.
