Very Small FM Transmitter

The blue one takes a bit to start up while the green one starts almost immediately. This is just like my previous FM oscillator except that it relies on separate capacitors instead of the parasitic capacitors of the transistor. You can see the difference in frequency with the X-Y scope by seeing the drift in phase.

Don't they need to be different frequencies?!

Frequency is identical, only the phase is different. So question, how does it sound on the receiver side?

For an experiment, I updated the blue PS to 5V and changed its resistor to 5.1k, as I expected the start up was similar to the green Cct.

There is already a difference in supply voltage which is not a mistake, jason want that to have a difference in phase
kiani

So it's phase shift modulator.! That is FM too. Not!?

As long the phase is going only in one direction it must have a frequency difference, but a very little.

“Frequency is identical, only phase is different.” Then “As long as the phase is going only in one direction it must have a frequency difference, but a very little”. The latter statement applies to my circuit, but the former does not, and assuming both apply to the circuit then some mistake must have been made as both statements are contradictory. Explanation?

The word " when" in german translates to "if" in english.. So when a german says "but" he means "if". And when he says "if" he means "when". Language.s...|Translation to language is simulayion to electronics. It is hard enough to reach a meaning in own language,,, and almost impossible if and when translated. Now some languages translate easier than others. So (interpretation) came about. Cause translation is not enough. However (interpretation) has csused more problems than (translation). (when) and (if) and (but),, arr enemies of both translation and interpretation, as it causes phase shifts to the sentances and thus has an overall effect on the gain of the conclusion.

Gosh "i" can write a book on this.... Maybe 10 or 100 more,, endless,, perhaps that is why there are so many books.. Nobody can say IT enough... A simple V=IR., try explain it with words to a child of 5, who does not speak your language.!!. And then explain your experience in spanish.. That is when one has to break up language and resort to poetry.. Seems laguage is only a tool to reach our misunderstanings,.. Now try write down the sound of a (kiss). With alphabet 🔤. You find each nation will write something different. Does that mean they hear different?! So. An Amerikan T is not same as Turkush T.

Hu..ha.. V=ir. Is that a statement?! Yes (i say). A factual statement. Is it wrong ti make statements?! Well,, depends eho is making them (i say). If politicians make statements (which they do) we accept. When a scientist does it (wr doubt) and when our parents do it (we reject). Does that mean we are standing on our heads?! And live life uosidedown?!
kiani

....and why?!... Well it is obvious (i say). Cause the politicians,, we elected... But parents.!! Well we did not elect....
kiani

And that is a statement. Which we make by our behaviour.

If frequency is equal and phase is not and constant but different, why does the circle in XY move?
jason9
But how can the circle in the XY move if the frequencies are the same? @kiani just about everything I hear from you translates into my brain as a lot of nonsense with very little of it making any sense.
kiani

@jason it means you are a good and deacent guy.
hurz

Measured the frequency with EveryCircuit they look identical, but as i say they must have a very little diffetence which we can not measure. The moving XY circle is an indication. Anything contradicting?
hurz

Note: if we use this differnce is frequency and switch in average back and forth we can use it as pjase modulator. This must be done as noisy as possible, so the number turning left in phase must be the same of right turn in phase over long term, to not shift in frequency and stand identical (averaged) in frequency. Thats the reason why thoose digitale modulated transmitter do apply pseudo random number sequences on top of the user data to get mathematical statistical noise and not a only left turning carrier which does shift away in frequency. Hope this makes it clear now.

@jason try practice a little pacience... Wine is best when it has been processed with and in TIME. Good wine can only be made with mature grapes 🍇. therefore maturity is reachable only in and with TIME. and all have to go through imaturity to reach maturity. So be patiant,. Being patiant is one of the element needed there are lots of other requirements for wine to mature, (time) is only one of them. But there are other things to be considered so wine doesn't souer and turn into viniger. So respect things that you do not understand, is another element. we alk have to go through.... Good luck...

👍 i agree, but we sound so old ♿

Value added tax. Old age. Today old is a crime. As media has wiped out old from the scene. And only represent pld with ♿. Old is bad. Boring. Unwanted. So let us build a house for them and put them all in there to hold hands as they die, that is all they are good for. Let us get rid of this slow moving vehicle off the road. Media permotes youth cause they can be fooled easier,. So let us make the youth deny their old parents, and let us take their grandparents away and put them all in a mental house. Cause old people are mental and have nothing to offer us except valuable exoerience,. They have had their fun snd now it is our turn. Old oeopke are our enemy. Old is bad,. Old is only good if it is antiques which has money value. Let us throw away all their experience they have gained with pain, and employ a young and pretty baby sitter. We don't want old oeople arround our children. They corrupt our childrens minds with their exoerience. And make it hard to manipulate them with media.

Old people write long texts to explain and repeat repeat repeat and repeat repeat and ...

Do you have to be so true all the time! Can't you lie a little, ( hope not). Life is a repeat.isn't it!? Just look how many times we have to breath for example. We hsve to do it even when we are eating, etc..

Looks good to me. The frequency difference is 528.0kHz, plenty! Test rig for frequency difference (slow): http://everycircuit.com/circuit/5117458666225664
hurz

@eekee, Thats quite an effort you spend! More then 500kHz is a lot, and if this is constant phase turning into this direction it wont fit to radio FM spacing 150kHz
eekee

I suppose it was. :) I needed to rest from using the mouse and keyboard, so the long wait for each count to accumulate was good. I assume the 500kHz could be reduced by reducing the voltage range, but I don't want to again spend so much time to test this. :)

I know, i did similar things in the past and only 0.0001% of users even understand why amd how. See it just for you as a success or proof of concept, im with you ;-)
