Pressing the button starts the one-shot, which, in turn, activates the sound generator operating on the electromagnetic buzzer (2mH + 16Ohm). For convenience of demonstration in the EC, the response time of the one-shot is reduced. To get a time of 2-3 seconds, you should increase the capacitance of the capacitor 1 uF to 150 uF.
