question, when is a short a short? Your system is quite relaxed several hundred ampere i just added 10mOhm resistor to simulate e.g. some wires check this http://everycircuit.com/circuit/4646008047534080

doesn't work in real life, high tendency of the relay contacts to spot weld especially when the current goes high.
