12V supply is the source (like li-ons cells)
10Homs resistor is the load
The switch simulates a short circuit
And the logic source is the reset
This circuit works perfectly if:
- reset is not active when there's a short circuit
- a short circuit occurs more than 3us after a reset
At the center of the scheme there's a CMOS RS NOR latch because the circuit does not works with the RS NOR latch of EC
At right there's the outside of the circuit (voltage source + load + power MOS) and a little filter
At left there's an optional circuit, just to view when the circuit is open
