Not sure is this is what you needed leewareham, but this is a phase shift, delays the lights so they come on at different times. If you want then to come on at different voltages we just have to add opamps as comparators before the lights

Hi thank you for doing that! that's great! Is there a delay for each light I was hoping to change the delay time between lights is that possible

Not a problem buddy, and there's always a way to do anything haha, we just need to adjust our phase shift network, tweak the values I have present to what your heart desires

Great lol I was hoping to do this in a hall way so that it gives a bit of an effect to light up a long hall way

On the circuit you have completed the lights are flashing is that for demonstration as I just one them to stay on as soon as they have switched on

AC alternates so they will flicker faster then your eye will notice, aka, solid on

It will definitely add an eerie feeling to the hallway as each light flickers at a different time though lol

Hey that's cool- when I first started in electronics I got an idea for a circuit to control hallway lights too! I wanted mine to be automated but had no idea how to make that happen- so I studied really hard and learned everything I could. It took a long time and a lot of hard work and experimentation but it was worth it cuz I finally finished the design not long ago. I'm still waiting for the patent application to go through, so I've held off posting the schematic (probably not enough room in the workspace anyway lol). But I guess I can say a little about how it works. I'll go into more detail of it's operation but alli can tell you about the components is that I salvaged most of the important stuff from old microwave ovens and a couple industrial type printers. Ok so when you enter the hallway the lights will come on automatically And self adjust to the sensitivity of the persons eyes. Awesome right?-more on that in just a second. Basically I used all the parts I had collected and constructed a device that uses a cyclic transmogrifying amplifier pushed through a series of passive trans-reactant waveform buffers to emit a cascading giglionic resonance field. In layman's terms, it monitors the electrical impulses at the junction of you're optic nerve and occipital lobe of your brain- and with like, comparators the circuit knows if the hallway is dark or light, and (pretty accurately!) determines the impact/severity of either one on your eyes, and will raise/lower the level of light in the hallway accordingly! It's really neat to see it working finally, I wish you guys could see it too. If everything goes well it won't be to long and you will!.. X°)

I bet that sounds pretty awesome to the layman. Smh...

Yeah ok! But um, you'll probably have to talk to China first. Eh, well it's gotta be tuned •just• right and it's difficult to know when you've found that sweet spot. Anyway I emailed a bunch of manufacturers from all over inviting them to a demonstration. But I totally forgot what day it was and suddenly all these big wig representatives in fancy suits are knocking at my door! I had zero time to clean the place up- it was kindof embarrassing X^° Some of them would'nt even come in, and the rest couldn't get to the door fast enough when... Ok so I had a bunch of these rats still there from when I was prototyping, and running was soooo difficult by myself so I started using live subjects. Well I didn't want to just "dispose" of the ones that survived- that would make me feel bad ya know? They were kinda creepy looking though and I guess I can see why the other guys wanted to split. I mean, cross-tuned giglionic field emissions are no joke! I fed them all the cheese they could eat for a few months since prototyping cuz i kinda felt bad for them, so I had all these fat roly-poly rats wandering around bumping into stuff cuz their eyes were all melted out and like, stuck to their fur lol. Those Chinese guys didn't care though- hell they didn't even flinch! I got myself a pretty sweet contract that day. So yeah, they'll probably wanna talk to you before I come over..
