Interesting?

It's neat- you know, I've liked the circuits like this you've posted. They're thought out, well put together, possess some twinklings of imagination, and are mostly original. And in my opinion, they are THE best cheat'o'blinkies posted on EC to date. But, they're cheat'o'blinkies nonetheless. Not saying that to be a jerk, I like'em i do- I'm just sayin'..

Yup cheat'o'blinkies they are, far from using discreet stuff, it's cheating I agree. It's more me using EC as a tool to explore patterns derived out of oscillations, is that a good explanation you think?

... Or looking for messages from god coded into the fabric of the universe, is that a better take on it ;)

No, they already found his image in some fabric remember? And exploring patterns is a good reasoning, but if you're offering explanations then I'd like to hear how you'd accomplish a real build. I have my ideas but ofcoz I'd like to hear what you come up with..

That was Christ , I'm looking for god in mother natures clothes... Lol really twisting things now! Not sure how to start on a real rig, guess it will have a large led matrix an loads of oscillators. Wiring em up an tuning the oscillations would be like the old analog synths, would be pure. But it's easier doin it software, you know of any app that's made for this sort of stuff, some sort of visual synthesizer?

Using software, the best you'll get is more lights- it'll still be a simulation. I really can't imagine there being an app to do this- I mean what could the user do? Adjust input timing- maybe change color of the LED's? Even if it was free I'd be like, " Why? It phases the lights around, it looks pretty cool, but then what?". And then I'd scroll on by. Let's consider going discreet- you use a.. there's already a lot of.... damn, i can't get my mind passed what would be an enormous component count! Forget that route- I'll see ya later oscillator! There has got to be a (slowly tugging chin hairs) another way...

Keep tuggin the chin hair sine cos I can't think of simple way of implementing something like this that is also easily re configurable. I'm imagining something like a big mixer desk an big patch panel with patch leads like the old telephone exchange, feeding frequency bandwidths with each other being added and cancelled out creating bands of harmonics an such, demultiplexed onto a display matrix. Over ambitious just to display simple fundamental phenomenas of nature, waves are the building blocks of reality

talks about waves.. http://youtu.be/mEN7DTdHbAU click on other related 'sixtysymbols' talks while you there should find it really really interesting :)

I watched the one in the link, and I'll go back to check out more. Science is cool. On the previous topic, the only practical solution I've come up with would be a microcontroller. There's 100's of PIC's- GPA be a few of 'em that are fit to make it happen..

that will be a microcontroller with DACs attached? to drive a LED matrix?
