Based on a circuit found at http://www.i4at.org/lib2/inverter.htm , along with using helpful advice supplied by hurz and kiani.
The inverters real life output is specified as being capable of supporting a 120VAC @ 300W non inductive load dependant on the transistors and transformer being used. While EC can provide a limited simulation of transformers, it has problems, this shows up in loads that are used in inducing oscillations, particularly there is no center tapped version txfmr, also it does not really know how to allow for different core permabilities, i.e. the difference between air cored, different types of Ferro material or even air gaped cores. I found that the 4.7uF capacitor helped me to simulate my desired configuration and helped in stopping the frequency running away, but is probably not required irl.
